The How to Train Your Dragon remake is visually captivating, true to the original storyline, and overall nothing short of incredible. Considering it had the same director as the initial movie, shot-for-shot, almost every frame is identical to the original and pays homage to it; all in all, it’s definitely the best remake I’ve seen in a long time. The main dragon, Toothless, is adorable and Mason Thames (who is the main character, Hiccup) played his part well; other than excluding some more humorous moments, like Hiccup’s iconic “This here, this is a talking fishbone” line, most viewers like myself loved every moment. Not to mention the exceptional score of the movie, with the “Flight Theme” perfectly recreating Hiccup and Toothless’ first flight together. Additionally, the CGI was done well, creating the realistic illusions of things like the blasts from the dragons. Generally speaking, the new How to Train Your Dragon was a great movie, and I personally would highly recommend it!
