Pursuit of Anything

With indie rock and pop woven into each track, Vacations explores the endless possibilities of the “Pursuit of Anything.”

The album reveals deep, raw emotion through its signature slow but rich rhythms. Beneath layers of melancholy and nostalgia, there is also room for surprise. Songs such as “Yesterday” capture a bright, abstract confrontation with a younger self, while “Lucky Forever” evokes connection and hope for the future.

However, the album’s greatest strength lies beyond its lyrics and instrumentation. It lies in the story. Lead producer Campbell Bruns draws from his bandmates’ changing lives, weaving pieces of their experiences into each song. In the end, “Pursuit of Anything” becomes more than an album. It becomes an animated portrait of the tension and beauty of growing up, unfolding frame by frame. Each bandmate embarks on their own pursuit of the possibilities ahead, and Bruns embraces the uncertainty. The album marks a turning point for the band, leaving listeners to reflect on their own hopes for the future and imagine their own pursuits of anything.
