Riding the high of a viral 2020, Megan Thee Stallion has rounded out her year with a 17-song album, a conglomeration of intricate rhymes and cheeky adlibs. She features chart success and single “Savage Remix (feat. Beyoncé)” and already-popular “Body,” among other fast paced tracks like the Biggie-sampling opener, “Shots Fired.” While her bars are as metrical as ever, a few of the songs, such as “Don’t Rock Me to Sleep,” stand out as strangely poppy — one can only assume she’s catering towards a broader audience. Even so, with star-studded features and catchy beats to spare, this album is definitely some good news.
