The Mason Girls Tennis Team added another chapter to its dynasty this past weekend, capturing the Greater Miami Conference championship for the 11th consecutive season and 13th time in program history.
The Comets rolled through the regular season with a flawless 9-0 conference record, then dominated the GMC tournament by winning four of the five flight championships.
In the finals, junior Emma Wagner rallied to defeat Oak Hills’ Harper in No. 1 singles (2-6, 6-4, 6-3) and was later named GMC Co-Athlete of the Year alongside Harper. Mason also picked up titles at No. 3 singles with Aditi Srinivasan, No. 1 doubles with Bhavana Singidi and Vanmayi Podili, and No. 2 doubles with Adriana Moreno and Ana Gotike.
The lone setback came at No. 2 singles, where Saanvi Reddy battled but fell in three sets to Oak Hills’ Lint.
With another trophy in hand, Mason cements its place as the undisputed powerhouse of the GMC.
