The Chronicle Editor in Chief Allie Keim Named OSMA Journalist of the Year

The Ohio Scholastic Media Association (OSMA) has officially named Allie Keim as the Ohio Journalist of the Year, the organization’s highest individual honor for high school reporters. Keim, a dedicated journalist who has served on The Chronicle staff for three years, currently leads the publication as Editor in Chief. Known for her ability to craft deeply impactful stories and her steady leadership in the newsroom, Keim has become a pillar of her school’s journalism program. As the Ohio recipient of this prestigious award, Keim will receive a $1000 scholarship from OSMA, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting excellence in high school yearbook, broadcast, and print media. Julieanne McClain, Executive Director of the Ohio Scholastic Media Association, noted that “Allie’s portfolio impressed the judges for its breadth and its depth. Her published works showcase thoroughness and excellence. We were also impressed by her leadership and the mentorship that she shows on her own publication staff as well as when it comes to training younger students who want to know what journalism is all about.”
