Girls basketball State Tournament Coverage: A Photo Essay by Lily Haller and Andrew Little

The Mason Girls Basketball team traveled to the University of Dayton Arena in their quest for a state championship title. On March 11, 2022, the Comets defeated Massillion Jackson 54-35 in the state semi-final to advance to the state championship game on March 12, 2022, where they fell to Reynoldsburg 63-56 in an overtime classic.
“To get to this point is a hard, hard thing to do – to keep your game elevated the way it needs to be. We just didn’t get it done in the last quarter. When we needed to get it done it slipped away from us.”
