Officially concluding three years of anticipation with a chilling cold open and a riveting mid-season finale, Stranger Things season five volume one was certainly worth the wait. With an incredible plot jam packed into four gripping episodes, this volume returns to the show’s season one roots with a narrowed focus on Will, Eleven, and Mike: the characters that started this decade-long mystery. Incredibly, the already impossible stakes are surpassed, but the tender moments that make us care about this midwestern 80s town aren’t lost. With the final episode scheduled for a theatrical release, fans are anxiously awaiting Hawkin’s final battle against Vecna and an end to the Upside Down once and for all.
