Premiering June 20th on Netflix and in theatres August 23rd, KPop Demon Hunters colored the Honmoon golden and has broken countless records worldwide.
HUNTR/X, the K-pop Girl Group of the film, is known for their enchanting lyrics, on point choreography and haunting melodies. However what is not as prominently attached to their name is their ultimate “demon slaying” mission, protecting souls and their beloved Honmoon from the demons devoted to serving their evil master Gwi-Ma. The plot emerges when a new K-pop Boy Band surfaces, threatening to steal both their followers and their plans, defeating Gwi-Ma isn’t as easy as it once seemed.
KPop Demon Hunters has quickly become a comfort movie and a lifelong friend. It’s the kind of movie elementary kids hum to themselves during recess and seniors at Mason High School will willingly defend, despite the obviously “corny” sounding title. Those who have seen it will agree it’s worth watching.
