Kiss all the time. Disco, occasionally

3.5 stars

It would be difficult to find a more accurate title for Harry Styles’ fourth solo album. Released on March 6, this record consists of roughly three fourths “Kiss” — reflective, tender lyrics developed in Styles’ three year self discovery journey — and one fourth “Disco” — tracks influenced from the late nights Styles spent in Berlin’s electronic music club Berghain.

Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally is a great addition to Styles’ discography, though much of his audience felt like something was missing within these tracks. The album feels empty, as if after three years of self discovery, Styles forgot to put whatever he discovered about himself in these songs. While Styles pushed the boundary for what he can do with music, he didn’t push far enough for the story he wanted to tell.
