Blackphone 2, the sequel to the hit horror film Blackphone officially premiered in theaters last Friday, October 17, and is alread shocking viewers. The original movie, released in 2021, captivated audiences with the chilling story of a kidnapped boy, Finney, who was able to contact his abductor (The Grabber’s) past victims via a black rotary phone in the basement he was held captive in, ultimately aiding in his survival.
The sequel follows Finney and his sister Gwen as they grapple with the trauma they endured at the hands of The Grabber as they grow up, and takes a mysterious twist when they confront the ghost of The Grabber at a winter camp, after the sinister return of the black rotary phone.
Blackphone 2, although maybe unexpected, is a promising horror film that will hopefully meet expectations for Halloween.
