Mason Cheerleaders Take Top Honors at GMC Championships

On November 2nd, the Mason High School Competition Cheer Team delivered an outstanding performance at the Greater Miami Conference (GMC) Cheerleading Championships held at Fairfield High School. Competing in both the Varsity Game Day and Varsity Non-Building Performance categories, Mason’s cheer squads captured first place in each event, earning the highest scores of the day.

The team also earned the “Best Use of Tumbling” award, highlighting their exceptional athleticism and precision.

Coached by head coach Micaela Donatello-Cooper, with assistants Hailey Thomas and Emma Davies, the Mason cheerleaders demonstrated teamwork, skill, and dedication across every routine.

The team roster includes seniors Libby Pullen, Maya Stevens, Madi Kirklin, Ella Stone, Emma Pierson, and Chloe Smith; juniors Ava Engen, Arielle Pope, Abby Conyers, Carrie Patrick, Bri Hermansen, Molly Benham, Rachel Wilburn, Emma Garrett, and Norah McDonald; sophomores Brooklyn Howard, Leah Rogge, Hailey DeGroff, and Dahyun Choi; and freshmen Lori Wright, Lilly Cote, Cece Balsbaugh, and Josey Heyman.
