Season 2 of Wednesday was one of the most highly anticipated TV shows of the year. It not only lived up to the immense hype surrounding it, but it also surpassed the expectations of many fans and critics. Announced in January 2023, it was renewed shortly after the first season premiered due to its popularity. Set in the classic setting of Nevermore Academy in Jericho, this new season continued to explore the life of Wednesday Addams and her family and friends.
Arriving in perfect time for Halloween, this new addition maintained the eerie nature of season 1, which stayed in the top 10 on Netflix for 10 weeks in a row. This season was packed full of surprises. The new addition not only contained numerous plot twists, but also introduced new creepy characters to be loved by viewers. Season 2 also featured some famous guest stars, like Lady Gaga as the new character Rosaline Rotwood and Steve Buscemi as principal Dort. Another highlight of the season was its soundtrack. It was packed full of popular songs that the audience loved, such as “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None The Richer, “Zombie” by The Cranberries and “The Dead Dance” by Lady Gaga.
Though season 2 has come to a close, it premiered so well that Netflix announced a third season will take place in the near future,exciting fans for even more of Wednesday.
