Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known to the world as Bad Bunny, took the stage by storm at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 8, 2026. The 60th NFL Super Bowl served as Bad Bunny’s medium, painting a colorful and rich visual of Puerto Rico and Latino Culture, featuring hits like “Yo Perreo Sola” and teases to popular songs like “Gasolina.” The high-energy production and generally upbeat music made the show entertaining, and celebrity guests such as Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin brought more traditional “American” culture and displayed unity across the field.

The performance received heavy backlash, many people were disappointed that halftime was sung entirely in Spanish, but the joy on the stage should have been visibly evident no matter what language Benito was singing in. At the end of the show the big screen lit up and read “The only thing more powerful than hate is love,” serving as the capstone to a well thought out performance and a reminder to all of America.
