Pass. Set. Cure.
On September 26, Mason Girls Volleyball defeated the Sycamore Aviators in three straight sets during the annual Susan G. Komen Volley for the Cure.
Parent volunteer Carey Gabbert said both schools deserve credit for giving back to the community in the past few years.
“Volley for the Cure is a great opportunity for our girls to give back — and it’s great that the boosters from both Mason and Sycamore have been supporting this cause for many years; great job by Michelle Dewitt for being the chair of the Mason Volley Cure event this year,” Gabbert said.
Junior player Maggie Bruns said the match is unique because everyone gets to play.
“It was really cool how everyone, including all of the nonstarters, got in,” Bruns said.
