October 10 proved to be a challenging day for the Princeton Vikings, as they hosted both the Mason varsity volleyball and boys’ soccer teams, who each secured victories that clinched the Greater Miami Conference (GMC) championship titles on Princeton’s home turf.
The Mason varsity volleyball team continued their dominance in the conference, winning the first three sets with scores of 25-10, 25-10 and 25-8. With this victory, the team claimed their ninth consecutive GMC championship, reinforcing their position as a powerhouse in local volleyball.
On the soccer field, the Mason boys’ varsity team delivered a 7-1 victory. Their well-coordinated play and consistent pressure throughout the match allowed them to outplay Princeton and secure the championship win.
Both teams’ triumphs were capped by their undefeated records in conference play, a testament to their strength and consistency throughout the season.
But the success didn’t stop there for Mason athletics. The boys’ and girls’ cross country teams, the girls’ tennis team, and the boys’ golf team all also captured GMC titles this season, contributing to six total championship wins.
